Wild Yellowstone

Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.

After having just visited Bryce and Zion National Parks in Utah and Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming, we found the scenery at Yellowstone National Park a bit disappointing (#spoiled … haha!).  However, its teeming wildlife made up for that.  We were fortunate to spot grizzly and black bears, bison, coyote, elk, mule deer, marmot, pika and others.  So yeah, Yellowstone rocks J.

Good morning!  We got up early in the hopes of spotting wildlife. We encountered a herd of elk cows.

Black-billed Magpie with a growth on its wing.  I sent this photo to the National Parks Conservation Association to find out if it's a disease but I never got a reply.

Grand Canyon – Rim Trail Part 2

Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

  

We wanted to explore the Rim Trail some more so we took the shuttle bus from our campground and then got off at Hermits Rest Route Transfer.  From there, we walked 3 miles until Mohave Point and then took the shuttle to go home.  Again, the magnificent vistas didn’t disappoint.
