Says Who?

Strolling down the hill halfway through our afternoon walk while wallowing ourselves in the vibrant shades of summer, our attention was caught by a svelte flycatcher feeding gracefully in flight.  It is grayish brown with a cinnamon belly and under tail.

We'd later find out from our guide book that it's called Say's Phoebe.  I thought it was a curious name and couldn't resist Googling the origin of the appellation.  The species was named in honor of the American naturalist, Thomas Say.

Says who?  Say's Phoebe.
